Choosing a 4-way toggle
This model is intended for a compatible lighting circuit controlled from three or more locations. Have your electrician specify the complete arrangement and the other controls it needs; a 4-way switch is not selected by appearance alone.
Gang count describes the plate configuration, separately from the number of lighting-control locations. Compare the other brass toggle switch if your project does not call for the specifically listed 4-way function.
